About this fabric

Part of Ashley Wilde’s Essential Weaves Vol 2 collection, this fabric is woven in 100% polyester and specified for drapes only. The cloth has a substantial 357 grams per linear metre and a 255 grams per square metre weight, giving it a fuller curtain handle rather than a light sheer feel. Visually, the amethyst base reads as dusty and subdued rather than bright, while the fine pale motif creates a scratchy, twig-like movement across the surface. The 140cm width and 25cm vertical by 24cm horizontal repeat make it suitable for a considered curtain drop where the texture can be seen clearly.

How to use it

Use this soft amethyst tone for floor-length curtains in a calm bedroom, study or sitting room, especially alongside chalky neutrals and dark timber. The pale linear pattern lifts the deeper purple ground, so it works well where you want colour with a restrained, layered feel.

Pairs beautifully with pale plaster, walnut and brushed metal for a tailored, atmospheric scheme.
