Essential Weaves Vol 2 FabricEWV2WALTHAM

Waltham Emerald is a richly coloured textured weave with a deep emerald ground and a fine, pale linear overlay. The pattern reads lively and organic, with the lighter detail standing out clearly against the saturated green.

About this fabric

From Ashley Wilde’s Essential Weaves Vol 2, Waltham Emerald is a 100% polyester fabric made for drapes only. The cloth has a 140cm width and a substantial 357 grams per linear metre, giving it a fuller curtain handle and a grounded feel. Visually, the emerald base is cool and jewel-like, while the slender pale pattern threads add movement and a slightly hand-drawn look across the surface. With a 25cm vertical repeat and 24cm horizontal repeat, the design creates a regular, textured rhythm that suits generous window treatments.

How to use it

This deep green colourway works well in rooms that need colour with restraint, especially against pale walls, oak, brass or blackened metal. It can also soften formal schemes by adding depth and texture rather than a plain block of colour.

Use as a rich, tailored curtain fabric that brings depth without feeling heavy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
