Thurlow Willow

Essential Weaves Vol 2 FabricEWV2THURLOW

Thurlow Willow is a softly patterned botanical fabric with a pale willow-green ground and delicate leaf forms in a light, tonal outline. The overall effect is airy and understated, with the motif reading gently across the surface rather than boldly.

About this fabric

Part of Ashley Wilde’s Essential Weaves Vol 2 collection, Thurlow Willow is a 100% polyester fabric made for drapes only. The small floral-botanical design has a 12 cm vertical and 12 cm horizontal repeat, creating a closely spaced, all-over rhythm. In this colourway, the willow green ground feels soft and muted, while the leaf motifs sit in a lighter shade that gives the pattern a calm, low-contrast finish. With a width of 140 cm and a weight of 255 gsm, it has enough substance for well-shaped curtains while still reading light and fresh on the window.

How to use it

Use this gentle willow green to soften a bright room or to bring a natural note into neutral schemes. It works especially well with pale woods, warm whites and linen textures, where the small-scale leaf pattern can add detail without overpowering the space.

A quiet botanical with a fresh, airy feel for elegant curtains or decorative blinds.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Thurlow Willow without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
