About this fabric
Marseilles Seafoam from Ashley Wilde’s Monterey Collection is a 50% polyester, 50% cotton fabric made in India, with a 140cm width and a 30,000 rub test for practical everyday use. The small vertical stripe repeats every 7.5cm, creating a neat, disciplined rhythm that suits both classic and contemporary rooms. Visually, the colourway is all about muted seafoam and soft sage-grey lines on an off-white base, giving the cloth a cool, washed coastal feel rather than a bright nautical one. At 394gsm, it has enough substance for upholstery while still working well for drapes and cushions. The overall effect is crisp, calm and easy to place alongside pale woods, stone tones or deeper green accents.
How to use it
Use it on a chair or banquette where the narrow stripes can run cleanly and bring a fresh, tailored finish. It also makes elegant curtains or cushion panels in a room with painted timber, brushed brass or light oak.
