About this fabric

This Warwick upholstery fabric is composed of 40% viscose, 34% polyester, 20% cotton, 3% acrylic and 3% nylon, giving the cloth a balanced woven handle and a lightly textured look. At 137 cm wide, Calcutta Emerald shows a small horizontal pattern repeat of H35 x V7.5, visible here as fine broken lines that sit neatly across the surface. The emerald tone is dark and grounded rather than bright, with pale flecks that lift the weave and stop the colour feeling flat. With a Martindale rub test of 25,000, it is suited to everyday seating where a rich colour and visible texture are both important.

How to use it

Use this emerald colourway on an accent chair, banquette or tailored sofa where the small striped effect can be seen up close. It pairs especially well with walnut timber, aged brass and warm neutrals that let the depth of green stand out.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
