Caberet Vermillion

Caberet Fabric

Caberet Vermillion is a tightly woven geometric fabric with a mosaic-like rhythm of olive, moss, teal and charcoal tones. The pattern reads crisp and structured, with small highlights that catch the light against the darker ground.

About this fabric

Woven for upholstery, Caberet Vermillion combines 59% viscose, 29% cotton, 9% linen and 3% polyester in a cloth that feels sturdy and textural rather than soft and drapey. The 137 cm width and 18,000 Martindale rub test make it suitable for seating that needs everyday wear, while the H9 x V14 cm repeat keeps the geometric layout precise across larger pieces. In this colourway the palette is grounded in olive and muted green, lifted by deeper teal and charcoal notes and finished with small pale flecks that brighten the surface. The effect is rich but not loud, with a smart, tailored character that suits the faceted pattern.

How to use it

Pair this colourway with warm wood, aged brass and plain linens to balance its layered green tones. It works especially well on a compact chair, bench or ottoman where the repeat can be seen clearly.

Use on clean-lined seating to let the olive and deep red accents bring depth without feeling busy.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Caberet Vermillion without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
