About this fabric
Woven in a durable upholstery quality, Calcutta Indigo combines 40% viscose, 34% polyester, 20% cotton, 3% acrylic and 3% nylon for a balanced, practical handle. The 137 cm width and 25,000 Martindale rub test make it well suited to everyday seating, while the small horizontal repeat of H35 x V7.5 creates a neat linear rhythm. Visually, the cloth reads as a deep blue-grey indigo with scattered light slubs that break up the darkness and add a lightly weathered character. The stripe is subtle rather than graphic, so the pattern feels refined and contemporary rather than bold.
How to use it
Use this colourway on sofas, armchairs or banquettes where a smart navy-leaning tone will anchor the room without feeling heavy. It pairs especially well with pale oak, chalky neutrals and brushed metal accents.
