Calais Celeste

Calais Fabric

Calais Celeste is a pale, airy blue with a cool, softened finish and a fine woven texture. The close weave gives the surface a neat, understated look rather than a glossy or heavy one.

About this fabric

Woven in 52% Recycled Polyester and 48% Polyester, this Calais colourway is designed for curtaining and comes in a generous 300 cm width, making it especially practical for wide drops and seamless window treatments. The cloth reads as a muted celeste blue with a gentle grey cast, so it feels fresher than beige but less saturated than a true sky blue. Its plain construction and small grid-like weave create a crisp, lightly textural surface that catches the light subtly. With no martindale rub test noted, it is best considered for drapery rather than seating.

How to use it

Use this soft blue at the window with pale oak, chalk white and brushed nickel for a clean, coastal feel. It also works well in calm bedrooms or living spaces where you want colour without visual weight.

A calm, airy blue that keeps a room feeling fresh and lightly tailored.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
