Elysium blue

iKon Fabricelysium/fa1/sap

Elysium Blue pairs a soft duck egg ground with painterly botanical forms and spiky floral bursts in teal, blush and gold. The overall effect is cool, airy and decorative, with the design sitting clearly against the lightly textured cloth.

About this fabric

This colourway is made from 95% cotton and 5% linen, with a useful width of 138cm and a total width of 145cm. At 230gsm, it has enough body for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings, which suits the fabric’s crisp printed detail and settled drape. The ground reads as a muted blue with a pale, linen-like cast, allowing the teal leaves, coral petals and tiny jewel-toned berries to stand out without looking loud. The large pattern repeat of 69cm across and 72.7cm down supports the scale of the botanical motif, while the cloth’s matte texture keeps the overall finish relaxed rather than glossy.

How to use it

Pair this soft blue with pale oak, brushed brass and stone finishes for a calm scheme that still has movement. It works especially well in a room that needs pattern, but where the cool, dusty blue tone should stay light and breathable.

Use it for statement curtains or blinds, where the airy blue ground can show off the painterly floral detail.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
