Cirsium blue

Wilderness Fabriccirsiun/fa1/dam

Cirsium Blue reads as a soft, watercolour floral with cool blue-green stems and thistles scattered over a pale ground. The design feels airy and organic, with mauve, sage and misty aqua details giving the print a delicate, garden-picked character.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this fabric has a natural handle and a visible cloth texture that suits relaxed interior schemes. At 230gsm and with a usable width of 140cm, it sits comfortably in the mid-weight range and is suitable for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The large 46cm by 68cm repeat lets the painterly thistle motif open out across the cloth, while the cool blue-green colouring keeps the overall effect fresh rather than heavy. Dry clean only and iron safe, it is practical for decorative window treatments and coordinated cushions.

How to use it

This muted blue-green colourway works well in rooms with painted wood, pale oak and chalky neutrals, where its soft floral movement can add interest without overpowering the scheme. Pair it with linen textures and brushed metallics for a calm, understated layered look.

Use for airy curtains or cushions where the painterly blue-green flowers can stay softly luminous.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
