Vellamo blue

Vellamo Fabricvellamo/fa1/sap

Vellamo Blue has a lively, mottled surface that reads as a cool cobalt with softer pale blue highlights. The close, textural weave gives it a tailored, contemporary feel.

About this fabric

Woven in 57% polyester and 43% viscose, this fabric has a substantial 415gsm handle and a 50,000 Martindale rub test, making it suitable for curtains, blinds and upholstery. The colourway shows a cool, medium-deep blue broken up by lighter flecks, so the surface looks softly heathered rather than flat. Its tight, pebbled texture catches the light in vertical striations, adding movement without introducing a repeat, as the pattern repeat is zero both horizontally and vertically. Dry clean only care and a do not iron finish make it best suited to projects where the fabric can keep its natural texture.

How to use it

Use Vellamo Blue on an armchair, bench or tailored curtains where its smart cobalt tone can bring definition to a room. It works especially well with chalk white, pale grey and natural timber.

Pair with crisp neutrals or warm oak to let the textured blue finish stand out.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
