Meadwell blue
Tiverton Fabricmeadwel/fa1/sky
Meadwell Blue shows the Tiverton design as a softly painterly botanical on a pale ground, with layered leaves and seed heads in blue, sage and muted lilac. The overall effect is airy and cool, with the colours sitting lightly across the cloth rather than reading as bold or saturated.

About this fabric
Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this fabric has a natural, slightly textured handle that suits soft furnishings as well as window treatment use. The print repeats every 68cm horizontally and 100cm vertically, giving the large-scale botanical motifs room to breathe across the width. In this colourway, the blues are softened with green and grey, while touches of lilac and olive add depth without darkening the design. At 230gsm, it feels like a substantial decorative fabric, and the 136cm usable width is useful for curtains and blinds. Dry clean only and cool iron care help preserve the gentle, watercolour-like finish.
How to use it
Use Meadwell Blue for relaxed curtains, Roman blinds or cushions where the cool blue-green palette can echo painted wood, linen upholstery or weathered oak. It works especially well in light rooms that need pattern with a calm, botanical feel rather than high contrast.
Pair with pale timber and chalky neutrals to keep the design’s cool, painterly feel light and fresh.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Meadwell blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
