Musselshells blue

Riviera Fabricmussels/fa1/mar

Painterly shell forms drift across this soft blue Riviera colourway, creating a fresh, coastal feel on a pale ground. The watercolour-style marks keep the design light and airy while still giving the pattern plenty of movement.

About this fabric

Musselshells Blue is a 100% cotton fabric from Voyage Maison’s Riviera collection, supplied at 136cm usable width and 230gsm, with a Cool Iron finish and Dry Clean Only care. The large shell motif is rendered in layered washes of blue, aqua and soft lavender-grey, with the pale background helping the design feel open rather than heavy. Its 45.33cm horizontal and 47.4cm vertical repeats suit statement window treatments, especially where the full scale of the motif can be appreciated. As a non-FR fabric, it is best specified for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings rather than hard-wearing seating.

How to use it

Use this cool, sea-glass blue with white-painted wood, pale oak and brushed nickel for a calm coastal scheme. It also works well as a focal blind or curtain in a bedroom or garden room where the airy shell print can soften the space.

Best for relaxed curtains or blinds where the painterly shell motifs can read clearly.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
