Danbury blue

Tiverton Fabricdanbury/fa1/sky

Danbury Blue is a softly painted botanical on a pale, natural ground, with layered leaves and acorn-like motifs in blue, sage and lilac tones. The overall effect is airy and fresh, with the design reading clearly across the 35cm by 44.3cm repeat.

About this fabric

Woven in a 95% cotton, 5% linen cloth, this Tiverton fabric has a relaxed, matte handle that suits curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The 140cm usable width and 230gsm weight place it in a versatile mid-weight range, so it can bring the same leafy pattern to either window treatments or decorative upholstery-style accents. Danbury Blue combines cool powder blues with muted sage, olive and hints of violet, all set against a warm off-white ground that keeps the print feeling open rather than heavy. Dry clean only and iron safe, it is a practical decorative textile with a gently textured, natural look.

How to use it

Use Danbury Blue in a light-filled room with chalky walls and pale timber to emphasise the fresh blue-green palette. It also works well as statement curtains where the soft ground lets the painterly leaves float without overpowering the space.

Pair with pale oak and brushed linen for a calm, fresh scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
