Selkirk blue

Selkirk Blue is a crisp, small-scale woven fabric with a lively teal-blue character and a softly speckled surface. The texture reads as a neat, tactile tweed that brings depth even in a flat swatch.

About this fabric

Selkirk Blue is made from 44% polyester, 40% cotton and 16% acrylic, with a substantial 315gsm handle and a 20,000 Martindale rating. That gives it the feel of a practical decorative fabric, suitable for curtains, blinds and upholstery. Visually, the colour sits between blue and green, with a cool teal cast and lighter flecks that break up the surface. The weave is tightly worked and evenly textured, so the finish feels smart rather than rustic, while the 140cm width and zero pattern repeat make it straightforward to plan and match.

How to use it

Use Selkirk Blue on an accent chair or tailored curtains where its teal tone can catch natural light. It pairs well with pale neutrals, warm oak and brushed brass for a clean, contemporary look.

A lively teal-blue weave that adds colour without overwhelming a scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
