Selkirk red

Selkirk Fabricselkirk/fa1/str

Selkirk Red is a woven fabric with a lively cherry-red ground and a мелange of lighter flecks that give the surface a crisp, textured look. The colour reads bright and energetic rather than deep or burgundy-toned.

About this fabric

Woven in 44% polyester, 40% cotton and 16% acrylic, this Selkirk colourway has a substantial 315gsm handle and a 20,000 Martindale rub rating, making it suitable for curtains, blinds and upholstery. The cloth shows a small-scale, evenly repeated weave with no directional pattern repeat, so the red surface feels textural rather than printed. Creamy lighter threads are mixed through the weave, softening the brightness and giving the red a slightly heathered, lively finish. Dry clean only and iron safe, it offers a practical upholstery-grade option with enough visual interest to stand on its own.

How to use it

Use Selkirk Red on a reading-chair, ottoman or roman blind where the bright woven red can bring warmth without feeling flat. It pairs especially well with warm neutrals, aged wood and darker greens for a grounded, country-inspired scheme.

A lively red woven that adds energy to chairs, cushions or relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
