Palermo red
Palermo Fabricpalermo/fa1/can
Palermo Red is a rich, textural plain with a warm brick-red character and a softly mottled surface. Its dense finish gives the colour extra depth, reading tailored and grounded rather than bright.

About this fabric
Woven in 100% polyester, this Palermo colourway has a substantial 452gsm body and a practical 40,000 Martindale rub test, making it suitable for curtains, blinds and upholstery. The image shows a deep brick red with brown undertones and a lightly heathered texture that softens the shade across the surface. At 140cm wide with zero pattern repeat, it is straightforward to cut and upholster cleanly. Dry clean only and do not iron, so it is best handled as a polished, low-fuss statement fabric.
How to use it
Use this red where you want warmth without gloss: on an armchair, bench or cushion it will feel rich and settled. For drapery, pair it with dark timber, brass or muted neutrals to let the earthy red tone remain the focus.
A rich brick-red base that works neatly across tailored curtains and hard-wearing seating.

Pairs well with
Palermo red is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.
Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
