About this fabric

This colourway from Jane Churchill’s Roxam collection is a fabric with a 140cm approximate width and a composition of 60% cotton, 28% viscose and 12% linen. The weave reads as a fine, closely packed zigzag, with the darker red ground and lighter red highlights creating a lively but restrained contrast. Its surface has a dry, textural feel rather than a glossy finish, which helps the pattern stay sharp and architectural. The repeat is small, at approximately V 1cm / H 3cm, making the design feel precise and rhythmic over larger areas. The fire code is √CM, and the care code is Q 8 < T 3.

How to use it

This deep, warm red works well on an upholstered chair, ottoman or banquette where the chevron can be seen up close. It also makes smart curtains feel grounded and heritage-led, especially against timber, leather or muted stone tones.

Use this deep red chevron for tailored upholstery or structured curtains with a warm, confident finish.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Marlow Dark Red without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
