About this fabric

This Jane Churchill fabric from the Rousseau - Atmosphere VIII collection is woven in 87% viscose, 7% polyester and 6% silk, giving the surface a gentle sheen rather than a flat matte finish. The colourway reads as a deep, saturated red with a warmer, almost oxblood undertone, while the small elongated motifs bring in a clear gold note that lifts the design. Repeated at approximately 16cm both vertically and horizontally across the 128cm width, the pattern feels neat and balanced rather than sprawling. The √BM fire code makes it suitable for projects where compliance matters as well as appearance.

How to use it

This red and gold colourway works well on a statement chair, banquette or cushions where the repeating motif can be seen clearly. Pair it with walnut, antique brass and deep neutral paints to let the warm red tone feel luxurious rather than bright.

Use for tailored upholstery or elegant drapery where the warm metallic accent can catch the light.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
