Shelley Poppy is a vivid poppy red fabric with a nubbly, textured surface that gives the colour extra depth. The shade reads bright and energetic, with subtle tonal movement across the weave.

About this fabric
This Shelley colourway has a tightly woven, gently irregular texture that softens the intensity of the red and keeps it looking rich rather than flat. The composition is 64% polyester, 32% viscose and 4% cotton, which suits the practical, softly tactile feel visible in the swatch. At approximately 138cm wide, it is a versatile fabric for upholstery projects where a strong colour is wanted without a glossy finish. The repeat is shown as V 0cm / H 0cm approx, so the surface reads as a plain-textured cloth rather than a patterned design.
How to use it
Use this poppy red on a compact armchair, ottoman or dining chair to create a confident focal point. It also works well with warm neutrals, pale timber and brass accents, where the colour’s brightness can stay centre stage.
A lively red weave that adds energy and polish to tailored seating or statement cushions.

Pairs well with
Shelley Poppy is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
