Shelley FabricJ0115-31

Shelley Nougat reads as a soft, sandy neutral with a gentle warmth running through the weave. The surface has a small, pebble-like texture that gives the colour a quiet depth rather than a flat plain look.

About this fabric

This Shelley fabric is woven in a 64% polyester, 32% viscose and 4% cotton blend, with no visible repeat direction at 0cm vertically and horizontally, so it presents as an all-over texture rather than a pattern. The 138cm approx width makes it practical for both upholstery and drapery, and the visible finish is a muted nougat beige with creamy highlights and a slightly heathered, natural-looking grain. Light catches the raised weave softly, giving the cloth a relaxed, upholstered feel without making the colour look heavy. The overall effect is warm and understated, sitting between beige and pale stone rather than reading yellow or grey.

How to use it

Use this shade on armchairs, loose covers or curtains where you want a calm neutral with a little surface interest. It works especially well with oak, linen whites and muted taupe accents.

A soft neutral that layers easily into calm, natural interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
