Shelley Navy

Shelley FabricJ0115-03

Shelley Navy is a softly textured blue cloth with a matte, gently speckled surface and a cool denim-like depth. The close weave gives it a refined, understated look rather than a flat solid.

About this fabric

Shelley Navy from Jane Churchill is a fabric with a subtle pebble-like texture and an even, non-directional appearance. The shade reads as a muted navy-blue with a slightly smoky cast, so it feels grounded and smart rather than bright or coastal. At approximately 138cm wide and woven in 64% polyester, 32% viscose and 4% cotton, it offers a practical balance of body and softness for everyday use. The 0cm vertical and horizontal repeat means the surface is effectively plain, which keeps the colour and texture at the forefront. The care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code K make it straightforward to specify for interiors where a neat, tailored finish is wanted.

How to use it

Use Shelley Navy on an armchair, banquette or scatter cushions where the deep blue tone can anchor paler neutrals. It also pairs well with oak, brushed brass and crisp white for a tidy, contemporary scheme.

A calm navy cloth with a subtly nubby surface that works neatly across tailored upholstery and drapes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
