Sherborne Indigo is a deep, quietly textured blue with a cool, inky cast. The surface reads softly brushed rather than glossy, giving the colour extra depth in the light.

About this fabric

This Sherborne colourway shows a dark indigo tone that sits between navy and charcoal, with subtle blue movement breaking through the surface. The finish looks matte and gently napped, so the shade feels layered rather than flat. Supplied in 100% polyester, the fabric has a width of approximately 143cm and a straight repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm approx, making it straightforward to pattern-match as a plain. The overall effect is smart and restrained, with enough texture to soften the depth of the blue without losing its tailored character. Care code C 8 < T 3 and fire code K are both noted for this exact fabric.

How to use it

This dark indigo works well on a sofa, occasional chair or Roman blind when you want a colour that feels crisp but not bright. Pair it with pale oak, chalky neutrals or brushed metal accents to let the blue read richly against a lighter room.

Use for tailored upholstery or soft furnishings where a dark, understated blue is needed.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
