About this fabric

Sherborne Chinchilla is a 100% polyester fabric with a plain, texture-led appearance and no visible repeat, so it has a clean, uninterrupted finish. At approximately 143cm wide, it offers a practical working width for both upholstery and curtains. The chinchilla shade is a muted mushroom taupe, with a cool-to-neutral balance that feels softer than a brown and warmer than a grey. Light catches the weave gently, giving the cloth a quiet depth rather than a flat solid block of colour. Care code C 8 < T 3 and fire code K are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use this shade for tailored upholstery, relaxed drapes, or cushions where a restrained taupe ground is needed. It pairs especially well with chalky whites, warm woods, and darker accent colours for a layered, contemporary scheme.

A quietly versatile neutral that works beautifully across seating and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
