Halcyon Taupe

Skala FabricJ781F-05

Halcyon Taupe has a softly weathered, woven look with a light taupe ground and flecks of ivory and stone. The overall effect is muted and airy, with just enough pattern to give the surface movement.

About this fabric

This Skala fabric by Jane Churchill is composed of 67% viscose and 33% polyester, with an approximate width of 140cm and a vertical repeat of 74cm and horizontal repeat of 35cm. In Halcyon Taupe, the design reads as a pale beige-taupe with chalky highlights and subtle darker speckling that gives the surface depth. The finish looks textural rather than bold, so the pattern feels decorative without becoming high-contrast. With no performance features noted, it is best chosen for interiors where a refined, softly aged neutral is the goal. The gentle tonal variation makes the cloth feel layered and understated rather than flat.

How to use it

Use this colourway to soften clean-lined upholstery or to bring quiet texture into curtains and blinds. Its warm taupe base sits especially well with oak, limestone and other natural finishes.

A calm neutral that adds texture without overwhelming a scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
