Shelley Chinchilla

Shelley FabricJ0115-17

Shelley Chinchilla is a softly textured neutral with a warm beige-taupe cast and a gentle speckled surface. Its small-scale weave gives the colourway an understated, tactile finish rather than a flat plain look.

About this fabric

This Shelley colourway reads as a muted chinchilla taupe, with pale beige and mushroom tones that sit quietly across the surface. The visible weave is compact and even, giving the fabric a softly pebbled texture that catches light without looking shiny. With a width of approx. 138cm and a composition of 64% polyester, 32% viscose and 4% cotton, it offers a practical, cloth-like handle for everyday use. The repeat is vertical 0cm / horizontal 0cm approx., so the interest comes from the texture and tone rather than a patterned motif. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code K are supplied for specification reference.

How to use it

Use this soft taupe in rooms that need a calm, tailored neutral; it sits neatly with oak, limestone and putty-painted finishes. It is especially effective on upholstered chairs, sofas or ottomans where the subtle texture can warm a pared-back scheme.

A quietly textured neutral that works beautifully on tailored seating and relaxed cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
