About this fabric

Woven in 64% polyester, 32% viscose and 4% cotton, Shelley Forest has a practical yet softly tactile handle and a neat small-scale texture across the cloth. The swatch shows a muted olive ground with a slightly heathered effect, where paler green highlights catch the light and stop the shade feeling flat. With a width of approx. 138cm and a vertical and horizontal repeat of 0cm approx., it presents as an easy, non-directional plain for a clean upholstery finish. The tone sits between green and khaki, making it feel more grounded than bright and more characterful than a standard neutral.

How to use it

Use Shelley Forest to bring a tailored, outdoor-in feel to a chair, sofa or banquette, especially alongside oak, warm stone or aged brass. Its muted olive depth pairs well with cream linens, tobacco leather and other foliage-inspired greens.

A grounded olive with a neat woven texture that suits tailored upholstery.

Pairs well with

Shelley Forest is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
