About this fabric

Woven in 64% polyester, 32% viscose and 4% cotton, Shelley Earth comes as a 138cm-wide fabric with no repeat, making its textured ground easy to use across a scheme. The swatch shows a muted taupe-beige with flecks of warm grey and sand, so it reads natural and grounded rather than creamy or cool. Its small-looped, tactile surface catches the light softly and keeps the shade looking calm even in brighter rooms. With care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code K, it is a practical choice for everyday upholstery where a subtle texture is wanted.

How to use it

Use Shelley Earth on an armchair, sofa or banquette when you want a neutral with more presence than a flat plain. It sits well with pale oak, chalk white and deeper cocoa accents, and the warm taupe tone also softens bolder accent colours.

A quiet, hard-wearing neutral that adds texture without pulling focus.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
