About this fabric

Woven in 64% polyester, 32% viscose and 4% cotton, Shelley Bison has the practical feel of a durable upholstery cloth with a subtly softened hand. The repeat is absent both vertically and horizontally, which suits its understated, small-scale texture and keeps the surface looking even and versatile. At approximately 138cm wide, it is a useful width for seating, cushions and other interior applications. The bison colourway reads as a muted pebble taupe, with gentle grey-beige tones and darker flecks that add depth without making the fabric look busy.

How to use it

Use this taupe on a sofa or armchair to bring warmth without heaviness, especially alongside oak, limestone and textured neutrals. It also works well for simple curtains where a quiet, tailored look is wanted.

A quietly textured taupe that sits neatly on tailored seating and relaxed drapery alike.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
