Nore FabricL9410-11

Nore Steel is a quietly sophisticated plain linen with a cool olive cast and a softly mottled, natural surface. The colour reads restrained and grounded, with a subtle steel-grey depth that keeps it calm rather than rustic.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen and measuring approximately 146cm wide, Nore Steel has no visible repeat, making the fabric feel clean and uninterrupted across a room. The surface shows the gentle slub and dry hand you would expect from linen, with a fine, even texture rather than a bold weave. Its muted olive tone is cooled by a steel-grey cast, so it sits comfortably in contemporary schemes without looking flat. The understated finish gives it enough body for upholstery as well as a softer drape for curtains and blinds. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Nore Steel on tailored upholstery, bench seats or simple curtains where its cool olive depth can sit beside oak, blackened metal and natural stone. It is especially effective in rooms that need colour without brightness, because the steel undertone keeps it disciplined and elegant.

A cool, understated olive that works beautifully across upholstery and relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
