Sherborne Terracotta is a richly grounded plain fabric in a burnt terracotta shade, with a subtly mottled surface that gives the colour real depth. The finish reads warm and earthy rather than bright or glossy.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester, this Sherborne colourway has a soft, even texture with a fine vertical grain visible across the surface. The repeat is effectively plain, with V 0cm / H 0cm approx, and the 143cm approx width makes it straightforward for upholstery cutting. The terracotta tone is muted and sunbaked, sitting between red clay and warm rust, so it feels inviting without becoming overly vivid. Its matte appearance and compact weave make it well suited to everyday seating, cushions, and tailored soft furnishings. Care code C 8 < T 3 and fire code K are supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use it on a chair, ottoman, or banquette where the warm clay colour can anchor a room of neutrals, oak, and aged brass. It also works well as a plain companion beside pattern, because the colour has enough depth to hold its own without competing.

A warm, earthy terracotta that brings depth and softness to simple seating or cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
