Montrose Plaid Paprika is a warm, softly weathered check with a lived-in woven texture and a gentle paprika-brown glow. The pattern reads relaxed and earthy, with lighter ochre notes lifting the darker crosslines.

About this fabric

Woven in 51% Recycled Wool, 39% Recycled Acrylic and 10% Recycled Polyester, this Skye collection fabric has a reassuringly substantial feel and a neat checked structure. The repeat is approximately V 19cm and H 18cm, creating a balanced plaid with steady horizontal bands and smaller vertical intersections. In this colourway, the paprika base is tempered by dusty brown and muted tan, so the design feels warm rather than bright. The 144cm approximate width makes it practical for a range of furnishing projects, while the Q 8 + T 3 care code and K fire code are supplied for specification use.

How to use it

Use this paprika check to add warmth to a country-inspired armchair, ottoman or banquette, especially where the room already has oak, leather or aged brass. It also works well at the window, where the softer tan notes can pick up natural light without looking too heavy.

A warm checked weave that brings an easy rustic depth to upholstery or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
