Peak Spice

Allan FabricL9404-12

Peak Spice is a rich, earthy brown with a warm terracotta cast and a softly slubbed, linen-wool surface. The close weave gives the colour a calm, matte depth that feels tactile rather than shiny.

About this fabric

Woven in 56% virgin wool, 36% linen and 8% polyamide, Allan in Peak Spice has the dry handle and slight irregularity you would expect from a wool-linen blend. The surface reads as a fine plain weave with subtle vertical striations, so the colour looks layered: deeper cocoa in the shadows, lighter rusted highlights where the weave catches the light. With no repeat and an approximate width of 140cm, it is a practical choice for broad upholstered pieces as well as tailored curtains and blinds. The overall impression is warm, grounded and quietly smart, rather than bright or overtly rustic.

How to use it

Use Peak Spice to bring warmth to a sofa, banquette or loose cover, then balance it with pale plaster walls, walnut and aged brass. Its muted spice tone also works well for curtains in rooms that need a softer, more cocooning finish.

Pair this earthy spice tone with oak, bronze and tobacco leather for a grounded, tailored look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
