About this fabric

The design is formed from irregular, vertically arranged strokes that break into feathery edges and distressed patches across the cream ground. Rust and baked terracotta provide the deepest accents, while muted ochre and lighter sandy tones keep the overall effect sun-warmed and tonal. At 238 gsm with 252 threads per cm, this is a versatile mid-weight textile suited to both upholstery and drapery. It has a 141 cm usable width, a 93.5 cm vertical repeat and a 70.5 cm horizontal repeat, giving the expressive pattern a clearly considered scale across a wider surface.

How to use it

Pair this warm baked terracotta colourway with aged timber, tobacco leather, ecru linen and muted ochre accents. On upholstery it adds lively vertical movement; on curtains, its cream ground can soften the stronger rust marks.

Use the warm rust and cream palette to bring painterly depth to upholstery, curtains or cushions in natural, softly layered schemes.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Eco Takara Baked Terracotta/Rust without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
