Montrose Plaid Stone

Skye FabricJ0264-01

Montrose Plaid Stone has a soft, chalky look with a quietly layered plaid that reads light and restful. The pale stone ground is lifted by warm beige and greige lines, giving the design an understated country feel.

About this fabric

Woven in a 51% Recycled Wool, 39% Recycled Acrylic and 10% Recycled Polyester composition, this fabric has the reassuring body of a wool-rich cloth with a lightly flecked, tactile finish. The approximate 144cm width and V 19cm / H 18cm repeat make the plaid easy to plan across larger pieces, while the Q 8 + T 3 care code and K fire code add useful specification detail for interior use. In this colourway, the check is deliberately soft and low-contrast, with stone, oatmeal and warm grey tones that keep the pattern visible without feeling heavy. It has a neat, tailored character rather than a bold tartan effect, so it sits comfortably in calm, layered schemes.

How to use it

Use it for upholstered armchairs, loose covers or Roman blinds where the muted stone palette can add texture without interrupting a light scheme. It pairs especially well with painted timber, natural oak and warm neutrals.

A calm stone-toned check that suits relaxed upholstery and lined curtains alike.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
