Sumi Cream

Tarka FabricJ0104-01

Sumi Cream is a soft, warm cream with a subtle slubby surface that gives the cloth gentle depth rather than a flat finish. The close weave reads calm and understated, with the texture doing the visual work.

About this fabric

This colourway sits in a pale oatmeal-cream range, with a creamy base and tiny flecks of natural fibre interest visible across the surface. The weave has a dry, lightly irregular handle that suits the fabric’s 45% Acrylic, 34% Polyester, 9% Viscose, 7% Cotton and 5% Linen composition. At approximately 142cm wide, with no visible repeat and a fire code of K, it is a practical plain for scheme-building. The tone is soft and slightly warm, so it brings light without looking stark or chilly.

How to use it

Use Sumi Cream to soften larger upholstered pieces, where the textured weave will read clearly from a distance. It also works well for curtains or blinds when you want a quietly warm neutral that sits comfortably with timber, stone and taupe accents.

A quietly textured cream that works beautifully across relaxed upholstery and softly tailored curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
