About this fabric
From Jane Churchill’s Tarka collection, this fabric is a textile with no repeat, so the woven texture does all the visual work. The mix of 45% acrylic, 34% polyester, 9% viscose, 7% cotton and 5% linen gives the cloth a balanced, dry-handled character that suits everyday use. In Sumi Blue, the shade sits between powder and denim, with pale grey-blue highlights breaking up the ground and giving it a softly speckled depth. At approximately 142cm wide, it offers useful flexibility for both upholstery and drapery applications.
How to use it
Use Sumi Blue to bring a cool, tailored note to a sofa, bench or headboard, or hang it at the window for a light, woven softness. It pairs neatly with chalk white, pale oak and brushed chrome, and also sits well beside natural linens and deeper navy accents.
