Ira Red/Orange

Tarka FabricJ0107-02

Ira in Red/Orange is a lively geometric weave with alternating triangular motifs in coral, terracotta and deep red across a pale ground. The stepped edges and crisp repeat give the design a rhythmic, graphic feel.

About this fabric

This Tarka fabric is woven in a 44% Acrylic, 30% Polyester, 19% Cotton, 4% Viscose and 3% Linen blend, with an approximate width of 136cm and a repeat of V 17cm / H 17cm. The surface reads as a textured flat weave, with the motif sitting clearly against the softer background and creating a neat, regular banded effect. In this colourway, the red/orange palette feels warm and sun-baked rather than bright or fiery, with the deeper red shapes giving the pattern a little extra depth. It is a versatile textile for interiors that want pattern, but in a controlled, ordered way.

How to use it

Use this colourway to add warmth to a neutral sofa, dining chair or bench, where the red-orange tones can animate a pale scheme. It would also work well for curtains or blinds in a room with cream walls and natural wood, letting the geometric repeat read cleanly.

A lively mid-scale pattern that works well to bring warmth to modern seating or smart curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
