Ira Red/Blue pairs stepped red and blue motifs with a warm cream ground for a rhythmic, folk-inspired look. The small geometric repeat gives the fabric an easy, regular energy that reads clearly across the swatch.

About this fabric

This Tarka fabric is woven in a 136cm approx width and repeats vertically and horizontally at about 17cm, creating the tidy staggered rows seen in the image. The cloth is a practical blend of 44% Acrylic, 30% Polyester, 19% Cotton, 4% Viscose and 3% Linen, with the weave giving the surface a lightly textured, slightly rustic finish rather than a smooth sheen. In this colourway, the red feels bright and confident against the soft blue, while the cream ground keeps the pattern open and balanced. The scale is small but the alternating peaks give enough movement to hold interest on seating, window treatments or accent pieces. Care code Q 8 < T 3 and fire code K are supplied for specification reference.

How to use it

The cream ground and crisp red-blue palette work well in rooms that need a little lift without becoming heavy, especially on occasional chairs, bench seats or café-style blinds. Pair with painted timber, natural linens or warm white walls to keep the pattern's neat zigzag rhythm in focus.

Use for lively cushions, statement chairs or relaxed blinds where the crisp motif can repeat cleanly.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
