About this fabric

LAN1603 is a 100% polyester chenille with a medium-scale tartan formed from deep red, teal and green checks, crossed by fine cream, blue-grey and muted orange lines. The saturated red areas give this colourway a warm, lively depth, while the cooler teal and green blocks prevent it from feeling overly bright. At 138cm wide, it is graded for both contract and domestic upholstery. The fabric is machine washable and offers Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy; it can also be treated to Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Use LAN1603 on a statement armchair, sofa or bench where its deep red checks can lead the scheme, then echo the teal and green with plain cushions or painted joinery. Warm timber and oatmeal neutrals will soften the tartan's contrast without losing its colour.

Use the deep red, teal and green tartan on relaxed upholstery, balanced with plain fabrics in warm neutrals or denim blue.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
