About this fabric

Made from 100% polyester, this 138cm-wide velvet combines a dark, earthy ground with tightly clustered flecks of purple, blue-green, pink, ochre and red. The short pile catches the light across the irregular surface, shifting between softened matte areas and brighter coloured accents. It is rated for domestic upholstery and has Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy. Aftercare is machine washable, offering practical maintenance for everyday upholstered pieces.

How to use it

Use this colourway as the focal fabric on a lounge chair, footstool or compact sofa, then pick out its moss, charcoal, plum or rust notes in surrounding textiles. Its dense, jewel-toned surface works especially well against plain upholstery and warm wood.

Use this richly coloured velvet on a statement chair or sofa, balanced with quiet moss, charcoal or plum furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
