Feel Monochrome

4d Upholstery Fabric

Feel Monochrome brings a warm, graphic rhythm to the upholstery collection, with uneven black lines running vertically through a creamy ground. Its raised, nubby surface gives the close-set stripe a tactile, hand-worked character.

About this fabric

The colourway balances soft cream with deep black, creating a monochrome effect that feels warmer and less stark than a pure white-and-black contrast. Irregular, broken vertical lines vary subtly in width and density, so the pattern reads as organic rather than rigid. The visible weave has a pronounced, nubby texture that adds depth across the surface and catches the light unevenly. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use this cream-and-black stripe on a statement chair, headboard or occasional sofa, then echo its graphic linework with restrained black hardware and warm ivory textiles.

Pair the warm cream ground and expressive black striping with quiet natural woods, soft neutrals or matte black accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
