About this fabric

The ochre ground has a rich, sun-warmed depth, while the narrow cream stripes create a broken linear rhythm rather than a rigid geometric effect. Close up, the woven surface appears tactile and gently nubby, with subtle variation that keeps the stripes from looking flat. As a fabric from Kirkby Design’s 4d Upholstery collection, Feel Ochre is particularly suited to bringing texture and warm colour to upholstered furniture. The vertical direction can also visually elongate chair backs, headboards or occasional panels.

How to use it

Use Feel Ochre on an armchair, sofa or dining seat where its golden warmth can sit alongside natural timber, cream boucle and softly contrasting stone neutrals. The irregular cream striping makes it especially effective as a relaxed focal upholstery rather than a barely-there plain.
