Kirkby Design

Sense Jet Black

Sense Jet Black presents a deep, near-inky black ground with a subtle horizontal texture visible across the surface. Its low-contrast weave gives the colour depth without introducing a pattern.

About this fabric

This Kirkby Design fabric is catalogued within the 4d Upholstery collection and is shown here as a dense, dark woven textile. Fine tonal shifts across the black surface catch the light gently, preventing the colour from appearing completely flat. The understated texture remains close to plain at a distance, while adding tactile interest up close. No performance features are noted in the supplied specification.

How to use it

Use this jet-black colourway on a tailored sofa, dining chair or occasional seat where its cool, graphic depth can anchor softer neutrals, pale timber and brushed metal.

The deep black tone and understated woven texture give seating a clean, tailored finish.

Pairs well with

Sense Jet Black is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
