Sense Seaweed

4d Upholstery Fabric

Sense Seaweed is a muted olive-green upholstery fabric with a finely textured, softly mottled surface. Its low-contrast colouring gives the swatch a calm, earthy depth rather than a bright or sharply defined finish.

About this fabric

The close-up shows an even plain weave with fine horizontal and vertical variation across the seaweed-green ground. Subtle shifts between olive, moss and darker green-grey fibres prevent the surface from appearing flat, while keeping the overall colour restrained. Its dense-looking textile structure and softly brushed visual texture make it well suited to upholstered furniture. There is no visible motif, so the colour and tactile surface provide the character.

How to use it

Use this subdued seaweed olive on an armchair, sofa or dining seat where its earthy tone can sit comfortably with warm timber, aged leather and natural stone. Pair it with cream or muted clay accents to bring out the green’s depth without making the room feel overly dark.

A quietly earthy olive tone with fine surface texture for relaxed upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
