About this fabric

The olive shade sits between green and brown, reading calm and grounded rather than bright or saturated. Tiny tonal flecks are visible throughout the surface, creating a softly granular texture instead of a completely flat finish. The close, even weave gives this colourway a neat, composed appearance suited to upholstered furniture. No composition, width, rub-test or performance specification was supplied for this exact fabric, so those details should be confirmed before ordering.

How to use it

Use Rock Olive on a compact sofa, occasional chair or dining seat where its earthy green tone can sit alongside warm timber, stone and quiet neutrals. Its restrained mottling also helps disguise the visual uniformity of a larger upholstered surface.

A muted olive ground with a fine, softly mottled texture for understated upholstered pieces.

Pairs well with

Rock Olive is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
