Cockatoo Olive

Tahiti Collection FabricCOCKATOO

Cockatoo Olive sets the Tahiti Collection’s parrots, leaves and fruit against a muted olive ground. The colourway feels earthy and slightly dusky, which softens the exuberant motif and keeps it easy to live with.

About this fabric

This Ashley Wilde fabric is made from 100% polyester and is suitable for general domestic upholstery and drapes. The 137cm width and 25,000 rub test make it a practical choice for everyday interior use, while the 534g per linear metre weight gives it a substantial, confident handle. In this colourway, the olive background reads as a warm, low-sheen green with an understated depth that allows the blue birds, red fruit and botanical details to stand out clearly. The large conversational repeat of 62cm vertically by 46cm horizontally creates a rhythmic, statement pattern with plenty of movement across the cloth.

How to use it

Use Cockatoo Olive on an accent chair, bench or pair of curtain panels where the olive ground can anchor the vivid bird and fruit motifs. It works especially well with timber, rattan and brass, which pick up the design’s warm, tropical mood.

Let the olive ground and jewel-toned birds do the talking with simple upholstery shapes or full-length drapes.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Cockatoo Olive without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
