Himmel Sheer Olive places slender, irregular olive lines over a pale translucent ground. In the photographed hanging, the cool muted green-brown stripes vary in density while daylight remains visible behind them.

About this fabric

The 124 gsm construction reads as fine and fluid in the image, making this a naturally drapery-focused textile rather than an upholstery cloth. Its olive stripes shift subtly from narrow, defined lines to softer, more open marks against the light ground, creating depth without a dense motif. The supplied specification records a 13 cm horizontal repeat and no vertical repeat, consistent with the uninterrupted upright direction visible in the photograph. With a 311 cm usable width, it is well suited to broad, full-height curtain drops; the fabric is also listed at 99 threads per cm and a standard length of 30 m.

How to use it

Use the muted olive tone at full window height in a light, nature-led room, where its translucent ground can soften strong daylight while the vertical stripes add quiet rhythm. Pair it with pale timber, warm white walls and restrained olive or stone upholstery.

A cool, translucent olive stripe for soft full-height curtains that filter daylight without losing the view.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Himmel Sheer Olive without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
