About this fabric

Derain Moss/Heather is a dense, irregular woven field of mossy olive and deep brown, crossed by broken horizontal streaks. Pale sage, cream and muted heather threads appear through the darker ground, creating cool, weathered depth rather than a flat green. At 783 gsm and 108 threads per cm, the construction is substantial and tightly built for upholstery. The supplied 141 cm usable width and 25 cm vertical by 34 cm horizontal repeat set the practical cutting dimensions for its small, broken linear motif.

How to use it

Use the dense moss-and-brown ground on a sofa, armchair or ottoman where its mottled surface can soften the mass of the piece. Pick up the pale sage and heather highlights with quiet, chalky accessories rather than bright greens, keeping the colourway’s earthy depth intact.

A substantial moss-and-brown woven upholstery fabric that brings layered, weathered colour to seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
