Sense Chocolate

About this fabric

As a fabric from Kirkby Design’s 4d Upholstery collection, Sense Chocolate is suited to upholstery applications. The dark brown colour reads rich rather than black, with subtle lighter and deeper threads creating gentle depth across the surface. Its close, slightly brushed-looking texture keeps the plain design from appearing flat while retaining a smart, composed finish.

How to use it

Pair this warm chocolate brown with camel, oatmeal and aged timber for a grounded scheme, or use it against pale walls so the softly striated texture becomes more noticeable.

Use this warm chocolate brown on upholstered seating where its fine tonal texture can add depth without introducing a pattern.

Pairs well with

Sense Chocolate is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
